Solid polycarbonate boards

The solid polycarbonate boards are manufactured by co-extrusion from the polycarbonate resin. They have excellent transparency and extreme impact strength.
There are numerous variations of solid polycarbonate boards which have additional properties, e.g. increased scratching resistance, increased chemical resistance, radically decreased flammability, etc.

Applications

  • Roofing and skylight runs, vertical glazing
  • Canopy roofs of passages, station roofs, public transportation stops, roofs over building entrances
  • Transparent safety filling of doors and windows
  • Features of interior design and architecture (partition walls, suspended ceiling systems)
  • Extruded skylights and smoke dampers
  • Sound screens
  • Machine guards, protective masks, police riot shields, lamp shades
  • Advertisement boards, signboards
  • Motor vehicle fairings

Advantages

  • Extremely high impact strength (200 to 300 higher than standard glass)
  • Superior transparency (LT of up to 90% for solid neutral boards)
  • Increased temperature resistance (application temperature range: from -40oC to +120oC)
  • Decreased flammability in comparison to other plastics
  • Resistance to atmospheric conditions ('long life' version)
  • Can be cold bent and heat formed
  • Boards with special properties: increased scratching resistance, increased chemical resistance, radically decreased flammability, etc.
